Changing Times

So, I'm not really sure where to start. I haven't written a blog for a while, but now I seem to have a lot of spare time on my hands, this is a better place to start than any.

This last week or so has been so surreal to say the least and I must admit it didn't really hit me until it was advised that we needed to stay away. Missing my parents is the worst. We even tried to eat our Sunday roast together through facetime yesterday.

Today was the 1st day of the girls 'homeschooling' and so far the first 3hrs and 20 mins of it have gone well. Though i feel daughter 2 is starting to get a bit fed up of it all. You and me both!

Work for me, like many self employed people, has been a bit of a struggle. Luckily a lot of my wedding couples have managed to change the date for their wedding. All in all the work has started to dwindle and the future is uncertain. I will be back, this isnt over, i just hope it doesn't last too long.

I'm trying to remain positive and be grateful for what i do have, even though it might only consist of 4 walls. Spending this length of time with the girls is something that may never happen again and homework aside, we need to make the most of it. I guess for the next 12 plus weeks, life will consist of sleeping in, tick tock's and random board games. With the odd bicker and 'I'm hungry' thrown in for good measure.

Tried to get some fresh air everyday, walking our dog Bobby. Went out on Saturday and there were still so many people who don't seem to understand what social distancing means. Large groups of chatter and a tight line for the coffee queue!

I know things will get better, its not if, its when. We are all in the same boat, we just all need to make sure its sailing in the right direction.

Lots of hugs
